How bad of an idea is asking out a girl who smokes weed?

I'm a 17 year old boy with no dating experience whatsoever. The last girl I asked out said I was too short for her. (She was 6' 3") I'm an anime nerd, and I'm considered really weird even by the other kids in my school anime club. I have a morbid sense of humor and I am really bad at talking to people in groups. Recently, during my school marching band camp during the summer, I met a girl. She's pretty, she's nice, and I think she might be interested in me. She's a senior as well, who also plays the flute. We also have lots in common such as reading and religion, but there's one problem. When I asked her what she liked to do in her spare time, she said she liked to read... and smoke weed. Now I don't like any form of drugs, but I don't see weed as being any worse than tobacco. She also doesn't use any other drugs. Is it worth it to ask her out?
